Hello there! Mel here.

I'm an actor, writer, & all around performer. I got the bug in me when I did my first play ever, Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. I was cast as Malvolio and the work done on his character was nothing short a labor of love. Prior to that, my only exposure to performing was the introduction to improv I took the semester prior with my wonderful acting coach Jahmeel Powers. I knew there was something special in acting, theatre, and the arts and thanks to Jahmeel and his wonderful wife Beth, I pushed myself to get on stage.

Since that first audition and casting, I've had the pleasure of performing in a number of other shows. These include a student written show by John Barerra titled As Time Goes By, where I played Paulie, the owner of a diner turned speakeasy after midnight. Afterwards I enjoyed my roles as The Fire Chief in The Bald Soprano, Enobarbus in Antony & Cleopatra, Dr. James Kim in another playwright original, Mimosas.

Outside of my theatre work I've performed as Santa Claus for Small Business Saturday and Santa on the Square by The City of Wilkes-Barre. I've called the play by play for the 2023 King's College Football Season and I've written and produced a number of weekly news reports for the King's College radio station. Thanks for reading and please do reach out to connect.
